Gallagher Bassett supports Dress for Success and their mission to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools, helping women thrive in work and in life. Gallagher Bassett colleagues conduct workshops to inspire women entering or re-entering the workforce to consider a career in insurance. Through our workshops, we've guided women on how to increase professional visibility, effectively network, and improve interviewing skills through instruction and role play, empowering participants to obtain safer and better futures.
Operating since 2007, Gentle Bear is the result of a collaboration between Gallagher Bassett and various emergency service organizations to help reduce post-traumatic stress-related injuries for first responders and to comfort children in distressing situations. Placed in emergency vehicles and given to children who have experienced trauma, Gentle Bear provides first responders with a useful aid in their work with children. Not only does Gentle Bear comfort the child, but research has also shown first responders' ability to provide immediate comfort to a child in distress reduces the negative emotional impact of these incidents on the responder. More than 17,000 Gentle Bears have been distributed worldwide to children in need and this number continues to grow each year.
Since 2013, Gallagher Bassett's employees have participated in the Workers' Compensation Institute's Spirit to Serve event and gala, benefitting Give Kids the World (GKTW). In partnership with our Workers' Compensation Institute industry colleagues, GB has raised over $1 million in contributions and volunteered hundreds of labor hours for the Village. An 84-acre, non-profit resort in central Florida, GKTW Village provides weeklong cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families, including accommodation, transportation, meals, theme park tickets, and much more.
Gallagher Bassett is a proud partner of the Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) for the Special Olympics, raising funds to support participation, engagement, and recognition opportunities for Special Olympics athletes and volunteers. LETR's goal is to build awareness of the Special Olympics, improve the future for those with intellectual disabilities, and pave the road for inclusion and acceptance. Through this partnership, Gallagher Bassett supports international, regional, and local programs for the LETR.

Gallagher Bassett's Major Case Unit (MCU) is a team of seasoned transportation claims professionals who exclusively handle claims files with incurred value greater than $150,000 or claims with grievous loss including, but not limited to, severe bodily injury and death. These files typically represent less than 5% of claim volume, but over 66% of incurred values for clients with transportation exposures.
We have an edge in reducing overall cost of losses because each Resolution Manager on the MCU team takes a proactive and assertive approach to claims management and:

The proactive approach the client team had to Return-To-Work (RTW) created an earlier opportunity for employee activity, RTW, and reduced workdays lost — promoting a 'win-win' for both injured employees and the organization. Gallagher Bassett has been very helpful in creating custom Luminos solutions for the client, including solutions that helped them manage through the COVID-19 pandemic.
