Robert Blasio joined Gallagher Bassett in 2019 and leads the GB Specialty division, which centers on industries with complex risks and significant liability claims. GB Specialty manages risks in the following verticals: healthcare; executive and professional liability; products liability and life sciences; transportation; cyber; and construction.
GB Specialty expanded the footprint of Mr. Blasio's former company, Western Litigation, which was acquired by Gallagher in 2001 and later became a division of GB in 2019 — rebranded with its current name. He founded Western Litigation in 1994 and served as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to these roles, he served as Vice President of Legal at a private insurance holding company in Houston and was a practicing litigation attorney at several prominent firms in the Chicago area.
He holds a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Lawrence University.
