Saugata Chatterjee joined Gallagher Bassett in January 2025 and serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, he provides strategic technology leadership across the enterprise and oversees the company's IT strategy, global application portfolio, delivery, operations, and compliance functions.
Saugata leads globally distributed, cross functional teams and drives modernization initiatives that strengthen quality, efficiency, resilience, and user experience across Gallagher Bassett's core platforms — including Risx-Facs, GB Navigator, myGBClaims, Genesis, the EMEA system, and FINIOS Systems in Australia.
Before joining Gallagher Bassett, Saugata served as Executive Director at Blue Cross and Blue Shield (HCSC), where he led the Commercial Claims IT organization. He brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience, with deep expertise in large scale application development, cloud transformation, legacy modernization, and global delivery. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Deloitte, guiding complex, multi-year enterprise transformation programs for global clients.
