
Robert Blasio joined Gallagher Bassett in 2019 and leads the Gallagher Bassett Specialty division, which centers on industries with complex risks and significant liability claims. Gallagher Bassett Specialty manages risks in the following verticals: healthcare; executive and professional liability; products liability and life sciences; transportation; cyber; and construction.
Gallagher Bassett Specialty expanded the footprint of Bob's former company, Western Litigation, which Gallagher acquired in 2001 and later became a division of Gallagher Bassett in 2019, rebranded with its current name. He founded Western Litigation in 1994 and served as president and chief executive officer. Before these roles, he served as vice president of Legal at a private insurance holding company in Houston and was a practicing litigation attorney at several prominent firms in the Chicago area.
In recognition of his significant contributions, expertise and impact across the industry for decades, Bob was recently inducted into the Insurance Business America esteemed Hall of Fame.
He holds a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in government from Lawrence University.
