Accordingly, we're pleased to congratulate Joe Berrios, managing director — Carrier practice, on his planned retirement in May 2026 and the appointment of Kapil Mohan as chief client officer — Risk Management and Carrier practice, effective immediately.
Joe Berrios has enjoyed an extensive and successful career in the claims industry, spanning nearly 40 years of service between Gallagher Bassett and GAB Robins. Joe currently leads Gallagher Bassett's Carrier practice, where he has established dedicated teams for business development, client service, and claims, all focused on meeting the unique needs of carriers and managing general agents. Joe plans to retire in May 2026 and will transition responsibilities for the Carrier practice to Kapil Mohan over the ensuing months.
Kapil, who is now stepping into the role of chief client officer — Risk Management and Carrier practice, is a seasoned executive with seven years at Gallagher Bassett. Prior to this appointment, Kapil led the Client Services team for Gallagher Bassett's Risk Management business segment, along with our Implementation, Client Support, and Client Data Services teams.
