Gallagher Bassett appoints Scott Newland as Head of Sales & Client Services — General Insurance

Gallagher Bassett Australia has announced the appointment of Scott Newland as the Head of Sales & Client Services — General Insurance, reinforcing the organisation's claims focus and capability across the General Insurance market.

Mr Newland brings over 20 years of insurance industry leadership to the role, including a decade with Gallagher Bassett leading the Australian claims operations and services division. Most recently, he served as General Manager — General Insurance at Gallagher Bassett, where his portfolio expertise and strong industry relationships helped position the organisation as a market-leading claims management partner in Australian General Insurance.

"The last few years working in Gallagher Bassett's General Insurance division have been some of the most rewarding of my career, and I'm looking forward to working closely with our clients and more broadly the market," said Mr Newland.

"Our team expects to double in size over the next five years and, though this target is ambitious, I'm confident that our expertise and experience in General Insurance will strengthen our existing partnerships and accelerate growth in new markets."

Mr Newland has a strong track record of driving large-scale growth, renewing major long-term client partnerships and strengthening Gallagher Bassett's General Insurance team. His appointment reflects the organisation's strategic focus on expanding its relationships across the Government, Carrier, Corporate and Lloyd's of London markets.
