Gallagher Bassett is proud to celebrate six specialists and one of our service teams who have been named finalists in the 2026 PIEF Excellence in Personal Injury & Disability Management Awards. The annual awards program recognises outstanding achievements across the personal injury sector.
This year Gallagher Bassett has been shortlisted across five award categories, highlighting the care, expertise, and leadership our people bring to supporting injured workers, employers, and their communities.
1. Education & Training Program Design
Maggie Armanas, Branch Manager and Mel Zadey, Branch Manager are jointly recognised as finalists in this category, for their work developing innovative training programs to build skills, knowledge, and capability across our claim teams.
2. Excellence in Customer Service
The Gallagher Bassett Service Team has been named a finalist in the Excellence in Customer Service category, an award for teams that consistently deliver exceptional experiences for injured people, employers and stakeholders. This recognition reflects the importance of compassionate support during challenging times and dependable guidance throughout the claims process.
3. Excellence in Injury & Disability Management (Return to Work/Community)
Both Sue Peisley, Return to Work Specialist and Suzy Mackay, Return to Work Specialist were each honoured as finalists in this category. Through collaboration, problem-solving and a focus on individual needs, both Sue and Suzy have helped people overcome barriers to recovery and reconnect with work, community, and daily life.
4. Excellence in Injury & Disability Management (Serious Injury/Significant Disability)
Emma Lindsay, Return to Independence Specialist has been named a finalist in this category, which recognises professionals who support people managing complex or significant injuries or disabilities. Emma's work supporting highly complex claims through tailored support and advocacy has been instrumental in improving injured worker outcomes.
5. Outstanding Leadership
Lyn Tatarelli, Team Manager has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Leadership category, which celebrates people leaders who foster high-performing teams and contribute to better outcomes across the sector. Lyn's approach to leadership has shaped the culture, capability, and support that enables her team to deliver exceptional service and outcomes for injured workers.
With more than 200 nominations received for the 2026 PIEF Awards, being named a finalist is a wonderful achievement and a reflection of the care, consistency, and innovative ways our people bring to their work.
