Ashley has been an integral part of Gallagher Bassett since October 2016. She took on the role of director of Risk Consulting before becoming director of Risk and ESG in January 2024. In these roles, Ashley has pioneered the integration of risk and governance strategies with an emphasis on client sustainability and success. Her responsibilities include leading risk assessments, establishing ESG frameworks, and advising on risk mitigation to align with clients' business objectives.

In May 2025, Ashley was promoted to the role of director of Consulting at Gallagher Bassett, a position that expanded her responsibilities to encompass both the Risk Consulting and Claims Consulting divisions. This broader remit allows Ashley to leverage her extensive expertise to support clients more comprehensively, bringing her risk-based expertise to the Claims Consulting division to support clients during times of surge events and service issues.

Before joining Gallagher Bassett, Ashley was the head of Organisational Risk at Essex County Council for three years, from November 2013 to October 2016. Her tenure there was marked by her leadership in developing enterprise-wide risk services, driving down administrative costs, and delivering strategic advice on organisational risk strategies. She played a crucial role in transforming their risk management approach and ensuring the effectiveness and continuity of business functions. Ashley's earlier roles include head of Risk and Insurance at the London Borough of Newham, where she managed a substantial budget and directed the risk and insurance teams. Her role was pivotal in implementing risk financing strategies and enhancing risk management functions that supported the council's risk appetite. This diverse experience has equipped Ashley with a comprehensive understanding of both public and private sector risk management, making her a valued leader in the risk consulting domain.

Ashley holds a BA in risk management and has professional certifications such as CFIRM and CertCII. Her educational background, combined with her extensive experience, underpins her expertise in risk consulting and strategic advisory roles.
