A tree planting event at Hideaway Wood Farm in Daventry brought together Gallagher Bassett, longstanding client DHL Supply Chain, and DHL's supplier partner, DWF. Held on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, the event marked a major milestone for Gallagher Bassett's industry-recognised 'Net Zero Tolerance to Fraud' initiative and the results delivered in its first year.
The initiative ties a real-world sustainability activity, offsetting carbon emissions by planting trees, with performance against anti-fraud targets. In its first year, the initiative delivered above the initial target in fraud prevention savings, and Treeapp is supporting Gallagher Bassett to plant 500 trees in the UK as a result of these outcomes.
Gallagher Bassett more than doubled the fraud savings target in the first contractual year, ensuring the maximum number of trees would be planted. The initiative is confirmed to continue until 2029, aligning with Gallagher Bassett and DHL Supply Chain's shared ambition to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Treeapp's projects restore biodiversity, create local jobs, reduce pollution, and support community development across the UK. The sustainability component of the initiative reflects a dedication to environmental stewardship and innovative business practices.
Leading Gallagher Bassett's presence at the event were Chief Executive Officer Manan Sagar, Chief Operating Officer John Fearn, Head of Operations Russell Harrison, and Client Director — Corporate Simon Johnson.
