Gallagher Bassett has announced the appointment of industry leader Sarah Penny as the new Client Services director for UK operations. Her role will report to John Fearn, chief operating officer for Gallagher Bassett UK, and will be responsible for looking after Gallagher Bassett's long list of valued corporate and carrier client relationships.
Sarah brings with her 15 years of industry expertise. She has previously worked in key roles for Previsico, Liberty Specialty Markets, Pen Underwriting, Ecclesiastical and Allianz Insurance. After starting her career as a claims handler, Sarah has built a diverse service and customer-facing skillset through managerial positions in relationships, business development, and partnerships, placing her in the perfect position to steer Gallagher Bassett's Client Services.

"My career journey has provided me with touchpoints across a multitude of insurance disciplines, from underwriters to suppliers and MGAs, so I have a comprehensive understanding of what insurers are looking for in a claims partner. Equipped with a deep understanding of the key drivers behind a positive claims experience, I'm looking forward to highlighting those capabilities in Gallagher Bassett's offering."
Sarah will also work closely with Gallagher Bassett's business development team to ensure seamless onboarding for new clients and continuous improvement of service for existing clients. She will collaborate with Charlotte Harrison and Stephen Bevan, who have recently been promoted to head of Carrier and Market Relationships and head of Corporate Relationships and Client Analytics, respectively. These changes and the focus of the roles are aligned with Gallagher Bassett's ambition to be the gold standard of claims partners.
