Gallagher Bassett Partners With Treeapp to Deliver Sustainability Initiative

Gallagher Bassett UK has announced a partnership with Treeapp to deliver on its industry-recognised 'Net Zero Tolerance to Fraud' initiative in collaboration with longstanding client and logistics provider DHL Supply Chain, as well as their supplier partner DWF. The initiative directly links fraud reduction efforts in claims management to sustainability goals, with 500 trees to be planted against the annual counter-fraud target.

Launched in July 2024, the five-year initiative runs through 2029. In its first year, the initiative delivered above the initial target in fraud prevention savings, and Treeapp will be supporting Gallagher Bassett to plant 500 trees in the UK as a result of these outcomes.

Fraud is estimated to affect between 2% and 10% of all claims, so DHL Supply Chain set its tenured claims provider — Gallagher Bassett — a challenge to develop a robust, scalable solution.

The sustainability component of the initiative reflects Galagher Bassett and DHL Supply Chain's shared commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, and both companies are looking forward to monitoring and seeing the results of their tree planting efforts through Treeapp's platform.
