We aim to work hard to reduce our environmental footprint, making more conscious choices about how we run our operations and choose to travel. Our parent company, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (Gallagher) has a goal of Net Zero (Scope 1 and Scope 2) by 2050 for its global operations. This goal allows us to track our progress in the UK. Further, in 2023, Gallagher set an interim goal of 50% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions on a per-employee basis by 2030.
Since 1962, our people have partnered with businesses for one purpose: to help organisations, communities, and people face their future with confidence. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) has always been fundamental to everything we do, but formalising this work helps us drive progress and create lasting impact.
Underpinned by The Gallagher Way and our core values, our UK ESG programme allows us to clearly demonstrate the progress we have made and the actions we are taking.
